 WHO WE ARE
 
 Exotic Stone & Lush Landscaping is the idea of Jon & Kathy Sneddon.
 
 We are a husband and wife design team that began when Jon, formerly a General Contractor/Custom Decorator, decided to pursue his passion of Landscape design and combine this along with his construction knowledge to focus purely on the concept of creating beautiful, functional outdoor living spaces and gardens to enhance the California outdoor living lifestyle.
 
 Jon hails from Bournemouth England and is professionally trained in Custom Decorating and color coordination for interior and exterior design.
 
 Jon moved to Los Angeles in the early 80’s and established a successful residential interior decorating company in Beverly Hills. In the 90’s Jon progressed to Commercial Projects working with restaurateurs such as Brent Bolthouse and Chris Breed. He was instrumental in creating custom finishes and color coordination for such clubs as The Roxbury and Babylon to name a few.
 
 This commercial involvement led to a full construction and design company incorporating full remodels of indoor and outdoor spaces.
 
 During one project serendipity played a part and a client asked Jon for a full Landscape Design due to his unhappiness with his existing company. Jon agreed and the rest is history. A passion for creating outdoor living spaces and an existing knowledge and love of all types of plants, shrubs and vegetation, Exotic Stone & Lush Landscaping was born.
 
 Jon’s partner in the business is his wife Kathy Sneddon. Kathy is also from the UK where she attended Liverpool University and graduated with a B.A. Honors degree in English Literature and Fine Art majoring in painting and ceramics.
 
 Also moving to L.A. in the late 80’s Kathy has worked as a milliner creating hand made ‘one of a kind’ hats, clothing designer, and has run her own small business making custom tile and ceramics and hand finished painted furniture.
 
 As part of Exotic Stone & Lush Landscaping she compliments Jon as the other half of a design team that can offer a full creation of an outdoor living space or garden. Kathy has an innate ability to compliment a living landscape with custom chosen furniture, fabrics and accessories. She is also able to add hand made ceramic tile to fountains, fireplaces, hardscape and outdoor rooms to add a unique final touch to a personally designed outdoor living environment.
